Generally, a standard Istanbul package covers the prosthesis itself, surgical and anesthesia fees, and pre-operative testing. It also includes a one-night hospital stay, several nights in a hotel, airport-hotel-clinic transfers, and post-operative medication. Consequently, patients rarely face surprise costs once they arrive.

Before booking, always ask a clinic for a written, itemized quote. Otherwise, some low-cost advertised prices exclude the implant device itself, which then gets added as a separate charge on arrival.

How Penile Prosthesis Surgery Works

First, once you are under general anesthesia, the surgical team sterilizes the treatment area. They also follow standard infection-prevention steps throughout. Then, the surgeon makes a small incision, usually at the base of the penis or in the scrotum.

Next, the surgeon gently prepares the two erectile chambers inside the penis, known as the corpora cavernosa. For inflatable models, he places the cylinders inside these chambers. He also positions the pump and fluid reservoir in the scrotum or lower abdomen. For semi-rigid models, instead, he inserts the bendable rods directly. Finally, he closes the incision and applies a light dressing.

The entire operation typically takes one to two hours. Afterward, you spend one night in the hospital under observation. Then, you move to the hotel for the remainder of your recovery.

Your 7-Day Trip, Day by Day

• Day 1, Arrival: Airport pickup, hotel check-in, and an in-person consultation with Dr. Tas.
• Day 2, Surgery: Pre-op testing in the morning, then the implant procedure under general anesthesia, followed by a one-night hospital stay.
• Days 3 to 4, Early Recovery: Discharge to the hotel, with rest and light movement to support circulation.
• Days 5 to 6, Continued Rest: Short walks and wound checks. By this point, most of the initial swelling begins settling.
• Day 7, Final Check and Departure: Dr. Tas removes dressings, confirms healing, and clears you to fly home.

Once you are home, full internal healing continues for several more weeks. Therefore, patients typically wait 4 to 6 weeks before resuming sexual activity, following their surgeon's guidance.

Some patients prefer to extend the hotel stay by a few extra days for additional comfort, particularly for long-haul flights. Either way, our coordinators adjust the itinerary to match your personal schedule and airline availability.

As with any surgery, risks include infection, mechanical wear over time, and reaction to anesthesia.
